Since childhood I have been interested in both photography and nature. Inevitably the two interests combined into a passion for nature photography.
I became a member of the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) in 1989. I gained my Licenciateship in 1990, my Associateship in 1994 and in May 2006 I was awarded a Fellowship. Both the Associateship and the Fellowship were achieved in the Nature category.
You will not be surprised to learn that I am also an active member of the RPS Nature Group. During the 18 or so years of which I have been a member, I have been very fortunate to have found many new friends from within the membership - excellent nature photographers who have offered encouragement and advice. I first joined the Nature Group Committee in 1993 and became its Chairman from 2001 to 2003. I am currently Editor of the group's magazine 'The Iris'.
My photographic interests are mainly but not exclusively natural history - I also enjoy landscape and sporting events as well as a variety of other subjects. The gallery pages show a broad range of images which, time allowing, I hope to update regularly. I hope you will make a return visit. Please leave a message in the Guestbook.
The website has undergone some changes recently with more to come over the coming months. I have added a new section with pages covering Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks - more images coming soon. Also new pages coming soon covering British Moths and Horse Trials as well as new images on existing pages. Some pages may be closed or absent until updating is completed. Please accept my apologies and visit again soon.
Images in galleries run as slide shows.
